The need for vaccination is not limited to children.  Adults may need to be vaccinated for protection against a variety of infectious diseases for a variety of reasons.  These include:

• With my medical history and problems, is the vaccine I’m getting a live virus and is it safe for me?

• Can the vaccine present problems for family members?

• Will I need “booster shots” in the future?

• What are the side effects of the vaccine and what do I do or whom do I call should they occur?

• Does the vaccine give me complete protection or need I still be cautious about acquiring a particular disease?

• Am I the right age for this vaccine?
